Had I stepped off the curb two seconds earlier, I would have been hit by a speeding motorcoach that ran the red light. “Jesus Saves,” it proclaimed on its front.

Grace is powerful, but sometimes you have to get off the sidewalk.


One must have a mind of winter

It’s 44 degrees F in Atlanta at noon. Half of us are walking down Peachtree St. in our best Southern coats, and half have no coats at all. There are those who overreact to any cold, and those who will not modify daily wear. Both groups look cold, but not companionable.

We have been invaded by Gators and the Tide. At last, the answer on how to keep up the internal temperature! Until tomorrow.
